Editure Limited (Editure), the global education and training company, is pleased to announce that it has completed a strategic investment in New Era IT Limited (“New Era IT”) the leading provider of technology infrastructure, solutions and services to the education market in New Zealand.
Editure has been providing software solutions to the New Zealand education market since 1999 through its partnership with Telecom New Zealand to build the SchoolZone offering. From the very beginning New Era IT were partners with Editure by providing training services to schools around Editure’s range of online products and services. These included the widely used mysuite learning platform, our filtering solution and Editure’s next generation learning management system products. Today Editure’s software and filtering solution are used by close to 1,000 schools across New Zealand.
Based on this long standing relationship and shared ethos of revolutionising the delivery of curriculum through leading edge technologies which empower both teachers and students to become active participants in the 21st century it was a natural progression for Editure to form a deeper relationship with New Era IT.
The combined Editure and New Era IT business across Australia and New Zealand now consists of over 150 technology professionals servicing around 4,000 schools.
The founders of New Era IT, Janet Radford and Ian Lindsay will continue as directors of the company with long time senior manager Anthony Church becoming the Managing Director for New Zealand. Editure will appoint three directors to the New Era IT board and the parties intend to build an even stronger working relationship to develop their businesses in both New Zealand and Australia.
